The annual Sun Coast Section Dinner and Awards will be held Tuesday October 29th at Brio Tuscan Grill at International Plaza in Tampa.   

The Sun Coast Section is looking for award nominations in the following categories:

  • Distinguished Project or Development
  • Planning Advocate

Join Florida Springs experts Jim Stevenson and Bob Knight for informative presentations on challenges facing Florida's springs, workable planning strategies to address those challenges, and how springshed planning approaches can applied to other watersheds throughout Florida.  The presentation will include case studies on Wakulla and Rainbow Springs.  Approved for 1.5 AICP CM -

October 23 - Tactical Urbanism Workshop
 -
Mike Lydon, Principal of The Street Plans Collaborative, will visit the Tampa Bay area to lead a Tactical Urbanism Workshop alongside local leaders, planners, advocates, and stakeholders. The intent of the workshop will be to provide an overview of tactical urbanism, and to equip workshop attendees with an understanding of how to plan, fund and implement tactical urbanism projects. Attendees will work together plan and create tactical urbanism interventions for select opportunity sites within Tampa Bay.  For more information about this great event please contact Lauren Matzke.  To RSVP for this event click here
