Hot Urban Neighborhoods

Richard Florida Picks Hot Urban Neighborhoods

In USA Today, Florida picks 10 neighborhoods that give a "slice of local urban life," ranging from Miami's Wynwood and Design District to Fort Worth, Texas' West 7th community.
Florida's choices are focused on neighborhoods with a lot of "creative class" inhabitants, like Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh:
"This former gritty, working-class neighborhood is now populated by professionals, artists and students."
But as it is a travel article, Florida also focuses on the "...trendy restaurants, bars, coffee shops, galleries and boutiques," such as he finds in Chicago's Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods.
Florida even finds a bright spot in ailing Detroit, a neighborhood called Corktown.
