I get a lot of goofy political stuff forwarded to me. I think my conservative friends think I am conservative and my liberal friends think I am liberal. I am actually a moderate, and am very disgusted with both parties. Numbskulls! I usually find myself voting for the least worst candidate, not because I think they are good but they are not as bad as the alternative. I always vote for the person, not the party, and my criterion is that I want competence, integrity, honor, honesty. I want a Boy Scout-an Eagle Scout.These are of course tough things to find in politicians.
My friend is convinced that the items below are true. It comports with other things he reads. It says it is fact checked, so it must be true. But as Abraham Lincoln told us, don't believe everything you read even when it is on the computer. And my friends who forward this stuff to me are good people, and not stupid. It is a wonder.

much effort to fact check it. And the people who
believe this crap and forward it don't believe in
fact checking, so checking on this stuff is pointless.
We just have to accept that a large portion of

Craig, I'm not really impressed by your fact checks.
1. I concede the one about Whitmer because it is a new one for me, but the allegation was she had worked for him not married his son. She might have done some legal work for him while she was in the law firm, but I agree that shouldn't count for anything.
2. As far as Pelosi, I have heard over and over again for several years that Gavin Newsome is Pelosi's nephew. Your fact check says that is false but goes on to say that Pelosi is his aunt. How does that figure?
3. It looks like Soros' son did marry a Melissa Schiff but apparently not Adam's sister. I guess that is sloppy, but Schiff's dishonesty is infamous, too.
4 I remember the buzz going around that Kerry's daughter was marrying a big shot Iranian at the time her father was negotiating the bad deal with Iran. I don't remember anybody trying to set the record straight then. IO doubt if he gave a @#$%.
5. As I have said before, I don't trust Snopes. I have heard several times that Snopes was financed by Soros or one of his entities. I don't know if that is true, but I wouldn't write it off considering were else he has put his money.
6. It is very difficult for me to believe a patriot conservative would purposely put out false information like this. It makes me wonder if false information like this might be purposely published by the Left with the idea it would get debunked and fortify the claim that everything on the internet is false, because the internet is not supportive of the Left like the Main Stream Media.

I appreciate your offer of surrender but please keep your sword. You do a great job of keeping me in line and I admire and respect you for it. I don't think we are that different in our views. I may get a little more upset about what the Left is doing than you, but ultimately we have the same values. The main truth in my view is that Biden and the Democratic leaders are doing great damage to the country we love and fought for losing many fine friends in the process. On the other hand, I have a very low opinion of Donald Trump, but I thought his policies were not detrimental to the country. Those are the real fact check immune truths to me. I probably am too eager to jump with stuff that would appear to make others see the light of my opinions, and I need you to keep me in check. Rest assured that I cherish our friendship.
